The "Namibia Sexual and Reproductive Health National Profile: 2024" highlights Namibia's strong commitment to UNFPA's four transformative results, showing notable progress in increasing modern contraceptive use and successfully combating HIV/AIDS, as evidenced by achieving the 95-95-95 goals by 2020. However, the country continues to face significant challenges, including high economic inequality, persistent gender-based violence, and a slowdown in the rate of progress for reducing unmet family planning needs and the adolescent birth rate. The report recommends intensive and targeted interventions, strengthening comprehensive sexuality education and health systems, and urgently enhancing data collection and quality to address these disparities and accelerate the country's journey toward the Sustainable Development Goals.
