The Third National Gender Equality and Equity Policy for Namibia (2025-2035) is designed to build on past progress in gender equality while tackling persistent challenges such as the feminisation of poverty, harmful norms, and Gender-Based Violence (GBV). It seeks to reduce all forms of discrimination and inequality across all spheres of life, leading to a gender-just society where all people, including those with disabilities and from marginalised communities, enjoy equal rights and opportunities. The policy outlines objectives and strategies across 12 prioritised thematic areas, such as education, health, economic empowerment, and legal affairs, to be implemented through a costed action plan.
