DORDABIS- The World Population 2017 Report, flagship report of the United Nations Population Fund, was officially launched today by the Hon. Minister of Poverty Eradication and Social Welfare, Bishop Zephania Kameeta and UN RC Kiki Gbeho at a ceremony held at Dordabis settlement.

The event coincided with the commemoration of the International Day for Poverty Eradication and was attended by more than 200 community members including school children.

The SWOP report entitled “Worlds Apart: Reproductive Health and Rights in an age of Inequality” highlights inequalities in reproductive health and rights, its magnitude, challenges, and its possible solutions.

Addressing the audience, the Minister said that no Namibian should feel left out. “Let us pull together against poverty and injustice,” he noted.
