UNFPA Namibia staff on 2 March 2016 joined the rest of the UN family in the country to support the Standard Bank Namibia’s Poverty Eradication Initiative, the Buy-a-Brick Project.
The Buy-a-Brick project aims to alleviate poverty and housing shortage in the country through the symbolic sale of token bricks in the form of erasers – N$5 per “brick”, the project aims to mobilize the private sector and the public in raising funds required by the federation to build affordable housing for disadvantaged Namibians.
The UN staff would like to donate their “bricks” (erasers) to a school, hence we urge you, our friends to suggest a school for us.
